Mini electric hoist brake pressure spring fatigue caused by prolonged use

Mini electric hoist brake pressure spring fatigue caused by prolonged use

06 Feb 2020

If the mini electric hoist is disabled for a long time, someone may start adjusting the brake adjusting nut by mistake, or the brake ring may be worn out too much, which will directly reduce the brake spring pressure and reduce the braking force. The brake is not reliable when the machine is stopped, so the sliding distance exceeds the specified requirements. In this case, it is usually necessary to readjust the brake nut according to the lifting instruction.

If the stopping distance of the mini electric hoist brake nut is still beyond the specified requirements, then you need to consider whether there are other problems. You first need to check, remove the brake ring, and then check whether the brake surface is oily. If there is oil, it means that the coefficient of friction will decrease, causing the brake to slip. Then the sliding distance exceeds the specified requirements, and the solution is to thoroughly clean the braking surface and then restore the friction coefficient of the braking surface.

If the problem is that the mini electric hoist brake ring is loose or damaged, and effective braking cannot be guaranteed, then the brake ring can only be replaced. If the brake ring is not damaged, but only a poor contact between the brake ring and the rear cover cone has occurred, resulting in a sliding distance exceeding the specified requirements. Then it is necessary to increase the braking force, find out the location of poor contact for repair grinding, increase the contact surface during braking, and replace the parts when it cannot be ground.
