What is the difference between electric chain hoist and wire rope electric hoist

The volume is different, because the electric chain hoist fetching and winding device is a chain, and the driving of the chain is generally driven by the rotation of the sprocket. The width of the sprocket is 1.6 times the width of the chain. The maximum wrap angle of the chain and sprocket winding will not exceed 270°.

The wire rope electric hoist fetching and winding device is a wire rope, and the driving of the wire rope is generally based on the rotation of the drum. The wire rope needs at least 3 turns to be completely wound on the drum, which is the situation when the lifting height is maximum.

The length of the drum when the hook reaches the upper limit is the main factor that determines the volume of the electric wire rope hoist. The volume of the reel of the electric wire rope hoist is larger than the entire Electric chain hoist. If the lifting height is increased, the drum will be lengthened. The volume of the electric wire rope hoist is several times or even ten times larger than the same specification Electric chain hoist.

The lifting height is different. The wire rope of the wire rope electric hoist is generally wound on the drum, which produces elastic deformation. It needs to rely on the side of the drum to receive pressure, and the corresponding surface is subjected to tension. The smaller the diameter of the drum, the deformation of the wire rope The greater the pressure, the greater the tension on the corresponding surface of the wire rope. Therefore, in order to make this pair of forces not exceed the allowable stress of the wire rope, the diameter of the drum needs to be larger so that the deformation of the wire rope is not too large. For this reason, the design specification requires that the drum diameter of the electric hoist cannot be less than 20 times the diameter of the wire rope. In other words, the lifting height of the electric chain hoist of the same height is greater than the lifting height of the wire rope electric hoist.

The running distance is different. Generally speaking, the axis of the running wire rope electric hoist is parallel to the center line of the running track of the wire rope electric hoist trolley. The axis of the electric chain hoist and the center line of the running track can generally be installed at 90°. In this way, under the same conditions and the same track length, the electric chain hoist runs longer than the wire rope electric hoist. Even the axis can be installed and used in parallel with the center line of the running track. Due to the small axial size of the Electric chain hoist, its running distance is much larger than that of the wire rope electric hoist. When the lifting height of the electric wire rope hoist is larger, its drum is longer, so the influence of the running distance will be greater.

The accuracy is different. When the wire rope electric hoist is hoisted, because the wire rope is wound on the drum in an axial direction, the hook will have a horizontal displacement along the axis of the electric hoist. The greater the lifting height, the more the wire rope is wound on the drum, and the greater the horizontal displacement of the hook. Regardless of the lifting height of the Electric chain hoist, the hook will go up and down along the vertical line of the chain, that is, the hook can be accurately positioned.
